Netherlands: NCSC publishes whitepaper on security tests

The National Cyber Security Centre ('NCSC') published, on 30 March 2020, a whitepaper ('the Whitepaper') to guide organisations of all types in performing security tests on information systems. In particular, the Whitepaper outlines that the results of security tests can be used to apply specific measures to vulnerabilities, and can be required as part of frameworks and standards. In addition, the Whitepaper highlights that security tests can be outsourced, however, the process should be defined from the outset. Specifically, the Whitepaper defines key steps as determining goals, determining the appropriate type of security test and its scope, controlling the implementation of it, and, lastly, ensure that improvements are made.

You can read the press releases here and download the Whitepaper here, both only available in Dutch.
