UK: NCSC publishes guidance on Trickbot banking trojan
The National Cyber Security Centre ('NCSC') published, on 12 February 2020, guidance ('the Guidance') on the Trickbot banking trojan. In particular, the Guidance highlights that Trickbot is an established banking trojan used in cyberattacks against businesses and individuals in the UK and overseas designed to access online accounts, including bank accounts, in order to obtain personally identifiable information. Moreover, the Guidance outlines, among other things, how organisations can deal with a possible Trickbot infection, and what kind of protective action can be taken against it.
