USA: NIST issues draft guidelines on security of mobile devices

The National Institute of Standards and Technology ('NIST') issued, on 24 March 2020, its draft Guidelines ('the Draft Guidelines') for Managing the Security of Mobile Devices in the Enterprise for public comment. In particular, the Draft Guidelines seek to assist organisation in managing and securing mobile devices and provides recommendations for deployment, use, and disposal of devices throughout their lifecycle. Furthermore, the Draft Guidelines address threats against devices and describe technologies and strategies that can be used as countermeasures.
