Japan: PPC announces updated personal information protection at financial institutions Q&A
The Personal Information Protection Commission ('PPC') announced, on 1 April 2020, that it had updated its question and answer on Personal Information Protection at Financial Institutions ('the Q&A'). In particular, the Q&A provides, among other things, clarification on the meaning of personal information database, data transfers of sensitive information, and data breach reporting.
