Saudi Arabia: SDAIA publishes guide on generative AI
On December 20, 2023, the Saudi Data & Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) announced the publication of a guide on generative artificial intelligence (AI) in an effort to raise the level of awareness about the importance of AI technologies.
What is included in SDAIA's guide on generative AI?
The guide on generative AI includes:
- a summary of the components of generative AI;
- an overview of the steps to develop a generative AI model;
- the benefits of using generative AI;
- the basic pillars for adopting generative AI; and
- an analysis of generative AI's impact.
What are the benefits of using generative AI?
Furthermore, SDAIA highlighted the benefits of generative AI use, notably:
- increasing productivity by enhancing employees' abilities to complete tasks;
- improving services by providing an improved and customized user experience;
- increasing efficiency by automating repetitive tasks and operations in various fields, as well as reducing the costs of automation; and
- enhancing innovation by generating new ideas for products or services.
