International: Moldova and Poland sign data protection agreement
The National Centre for the Protection of Personal Data ('NCPDP') announced, on 29 July 2022, that it and the Polish data protection authority ('UODO') had signed a Personal Data Protection Cooperation Agreement. In particular, the NCPDP detailed that the agreement aims to develop cooperative relations in the field of personal data protection, as well as promote good practices that will create favourable conditions for ensuring effective personal data protection of the citizens in both countries. More specifically, the NCPDP highlighted that the agreement aims to boost the exchange of information regarding the application of European laws, regulations, standards, and recommendations in the field of personal data protection.
