International: Spain and Colombia sign cybersecurity awareness agreement

On February 13, 2024, the National Cybersecurity Institute of Spain (INCIBE) and the Banking and Financial Institutions Association of Colombia (Asobancaria), signed an agreement to jointly collaborate to promote cybersecurity awareness and exchange information regarding cybersecurity incidents. 

Specifically, the INCIBE stated that the agreement was signed with a four-year term and focuses specifically on: 

  • training; 
  • awareness and sensitization; 
  • digital security; and
  • financial matters oriented to citizens and companies.

The INCIBE highlighted that training will be strengthened for the identification, development, and promotion of cybersecurity talent. Additionally, the development of the cybersecurity industry and other enabling technologies to promote entrepreneurship and exchange of best practices was mentioned. Lastly, the INCIBE stated that both organizations will implement communication mechanisms for the exchange of information and knowledge on security alerts in addition to providing mutual advice and technical assistance to strengthen the services of both organizations.
