Niger: HAPDP officially launches first session
The High Authority for the Protection of Personal Data ('HAPDP') announced, on 6 August 2020, that it had officially launched, on 5 August 2020, its activities as supervisory authority for personal data protection during its first session. In particular, Ms Sanady Tchimaden Hadaten, the President of the HAPDP, outlined that the HAPDP was sufficiently equipped for its operations and that it was important to ensure citizens were aware of their rights as data subjects.
