Oregon: Bill on use of age-appropriate design dies in Committee

On June 25, 2023, Senate Bill 196 relating to businesses' use of age-appropriate design died in the Senate Committee on Judiciary, upon adjournment. In particular, the bill was still in committee at the time the legislative session ended on June 25, 2023. The bill outlined specific requirements for online platforms that are accessible to children and placed restrictions on how the personal data of children can be collected or used.
