Turkey: KVKK signs cooperation protocol with Personal Data Protection Board of TRNC
On April 18, 2024, the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK) announced that it signed a cooperation protocol with the Personal Data Protection Board of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). The protocol aims to ensure compliance with the laws and regulatory processes of each country, facilitate their implementation, and contribute to the comprehensive protection of human rights and freedoms in the realm of privacy and personal data protection. Moreover, the protocol aims to bolster safeguards within their respective countries and regions.
