Yukon: IPC releases its 2020 annual report
The Yukon Information and Privacy Commissioner ('IPC') released, on 23 November 2021, its annual report for 2020. In particular, the report outlines the work of the IPC office during a year of new challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as ongoing problems that have continued to present issues over the years. Moreover, the report highlights that the IPC had issued numerous guidance documents in 2020 to inform public bodies and custodians about the risks associated with the pandemic and how to address them, and that the work of the IPC office increased in 2020, with 166 files opened, as compared to 139 in 2019.
