On April 12, 2024, House Bill 24-1058 on Protect Privacy of Biological Data was sent to the Colorado Governor for signature after being signed by the President of the Senate on the same date. Previously, the bill was signed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives on April 11, 2024. Regarding the next steps, the Governor may either sign the bill into law, allow the bill to become law without signature, or veto the bill.
